Serena Williams still having the most adorable daughter Olympia cheering her on in the stands. Her husband Alexis Ohanian also plays a supportive role.
If you’re like me, you spent the long weekend watching hours and hours of US Open tennis — specifically, watching Serena Williams absolutely crush it.
And, well, if you’re not like me, let me fill you in: Over the weekend, Serena made the quarterfinals of the tournament, which will be her 53rd (!!!!!!) time in the quarters of a major. She also became the first player to ever hit 100 wins in Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Another adorable and interesting moment is when Serena’s daughter Olympia watches mum every back-to-back matches in the US Open tournament with her Dad Alex Ohanian.
But, anyway, the US Open cameras caught a priceless moment between Serena and Olympia, and I couldn’t stop smiling all weekend.
During a pause in the game, Alexis pointed out Serena to Olympia, who excitedly says, “Momma!”
And when Serena noticed, mid-hydration break, she enthusiastically waved right back
“She loves when I practice on this court because she can sit and watch,” Williams said after beating Greece’s Maria Sakkari in the last-16 on Arthur Ashe.
“She’s three now. I’m like, ‘I gotta put my career aside and get her a racquet in her hand.
“Seriously, that’s what I told my husband yesterday. I’m like, ‘We got to get a racquet in her hand,” Williams added.
